You've been scrolling through images of Vidanta's Grand Luxxe or a stunning LHVC suite in the Dominican Republic, and you're thinking: I want that. But I don't want to buy a membership.

Good news — you don't have to.

I'm Dauntrica Woods, owner of Blissful Travel OH — and I'm also an LHVC and Vidanta member. I make availability in my membership accessible to other travelers, subject to what's open at the resort. That means you can book directly with me, a verified member, and access these luxury resorts at a fraction of what you'd pay booking through the resort's own website. This post explains exactly how it works.

"I booked a family of 7 into a Grand Luxxe 3-bedroom Spa Suite for 7 nights — through my own membership. They paid around $500/person for the week. I called the resort, added their names, and they checked in without a hitch. That's what booking directly with a member looks like."

What Is a Vidanta or LHVC Membership Rental?

Vidanta and LHVC (Lifestyles Holidays Vacation Club) are luxury resort membership programs — similar to timeshares, but with a portfolio of high-end properties across Mexico and the Caribbean. Members purchase the right to stay at these resorts for a set number of weeks or points per year.

As a member, I have access to resort availability through my membership. When there's availability I'm not using myself, I open it up to other travelers. You book directly with me — the actual member — which means no middlemen, no mystery, and a reservation you can verify directly with the resort. I call the resort myself, add your name to my reservation, and you receive confirmation straight from Vidanta or LHVC. Availability depends on what's open at the resort for your dates, so the earlier you reach out, the better your options.

The resorts available include:

Why Rental Rates Are So Much Lower Than Booking Direct

When you book a Vidanta resort through their website or a standard OTA, you're paying full retail pricing — often $1,200–$3,700+ per night for a suite. As a member, I've already paid my annual maintenance fees. When I rent out a week, I'm simply looking to offset that cost — not make a profit. That means you access the same luxury suite, the same resort, the same amenities, at a fraction of the price. Here's what that looks like in practice:

Important: Nightly food and beverage at Vidanta is NOT automatically all-inclusive unless you purchase a dining package. At LHVC resorts, all-inclusive is available as an add-on quoted separately from the room rate — for your full stay or selected days. I'll walk you through exactly what's included for your specific unit before you commit to anything.

How Booking My Week Works — Step by Step

  1. You reach out to me with your desired travel dates, group size, and preferred resort (or I'll suggest the best fit).
  2. I check what's available at the resort through my membership and confirm whether I can accommodate your dates. Availability varies, so flexibility on dates helps.
  3. We agree on the rate. I'll be upfront about pricing — my goal is to offset my maintenance fees, not upsell you.
  4. A simple rental agreement is signed between us. You'll have everything in writing.
  5. Payment is made — typically by Zelle, Cash App, or check. I'll send you my contact and payment details directly.
  6. I call Vidanta or LHVC guest services and add your name to my reservation as the confirmed guest.
  7. You receive a confirmation number directly from the resort — I'll provide the number once I have it. You verify with the resort yourself if you'd like.
  8. You check in using your own ID. No mention of membership, no timeshare presentation. Just your vacation.

The most important thing to know: because you're booking with me — the actual member — you can call the resort directly to confirm your reservation before sending full payment. I encourage it. Transparency is the whole point.

Is It Safe? What You Should Know About Member Rentals

Member rentals are safe and legal — but like any private transaction, the risk lives in WHO you're booking with. Scams in this space almost always come from fake listings on Facebook groups or Craigslist, where someone claims to be a member but has no actual reservation. Here's why booking directly with me is different:

If you ever see a Vidanta or LHVC rental listing that seems too cheap (a Grand Luxxe suite for $200/week is a red flag) or the seller won't let you verify with the resort first — walk away. Legitimate member rentals can be verified directly through the resort.

What's Typically Included in a Vidanta Rental

Usually Included

  • Suite access for the reserved dates
  • Resort pools, lazy rivers & water features
  • Beach club access
  • Fitness center, tennis courts & non-motorized water sports
  • Concierge services
  • Airport transfer to the resort
  • Children's club (varies by property)

Usually NOT Included

  • Meals & beverages (unless dining package added)
  • Airport transfer home
  • Cirque du Soleil shows (ticketed separately)
  • Excursions
  • Spa services
  • In-room minibar

All-inclusive packages at LHVC properties are available as an add-on — they're not automatically included in the room rental. I can walk you through what package options are available and what they cover so you can budget accurately before you book.

Who This Is Perfect For

A group of 10 traveled to the Grand Mayan in Nuevo Vallarta for 7 nights — booked directly through my membership. Total accommodation cost: $4,358 for the week for a 2-bedroom Master Suite. Split 10 ways, that's under $450/person for 7 nights. They added a dining package and still spent far less than they would have at a mid-tier all-inclusive.

What You Get When You Book Through Me

Blissful Travel OH is a travel-planning and private membership-access company — I'm an LHVC and Vidanta member who has stayed at these properties, an owner sharing access through my own membership rather than reselling someone else's inventory. Here's what that means for you:

I also have access to direct LHVC and Vidanta packages beyond my own member weeks — so if my dates don't match yours, I can often find you another path to the same resort at a comparable price.
